Set amidst the wild Scottish
moorlands and mountains of Sutherland in the Highlands, the
Achentoul Estate is fortunate to be amongst some of Scotland's most
beautiful natural heritage. The estate offers a variety of country pursuits and accommodations so that you may experience some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery and wildlife. Hind stalking is an
important part of the estate conservation. If the number of hinds
are not kept down to a manageable level they can do vast amounts of
damage to woodland and reduce their own food supplies so much that
they die a lingering death by starvation in winter. Salmon and Trout fishing - we are very pleased to offer some of the highlands most enjoyable trout fishing, which is available on a number of lochs on the estate. Holiday Cottages - the estate offers two country cottages, both with two bedrooms and full amenities. |
